What Exactly is Permanent Cosmetics Make-up?
Permanent Cosmetic Makeup is a State of the Art form of Cosmetic
Tattooing.  The Specialized Techniques used for Permanent
Cosmetics are often referred to as "Miccopigmentation",
"Micropigmentation Implantation" or Dermographics".

Are Permanent Cosmetics Really Permanent?
Technically, Permanent Cosmetic Procedures are considered
Permanent because the Color is Implanted into the Dermal Layer of
the Skin and cannot be Washed off.  However, as with any tattoo,
Fading can and does occur, requiring periodic maintenance.  Colors
will appear darker immediately following the procedure but will
"Soften and Lighten" during the healing process.  Also color on the
skin may change somewhat during the healing process as well, as it
combines with the Individual's skin tone.  This is taken into
Consideration during the Consultation Visit.

Is it Painful?
Permanent cosmetic procedures are of an invasive nature (as they
are a form of cosmetic tattooing) and therefore you may experience
some discomfort.  This may vary according to each individual's pain
threshold.  However, we use various anesthetic ointments and
topical desensitizing products that help with pain management.
NEW!

Cutting Edge Studio is proud to announce the latest advancement in
Permanent Cosmetic pain control using Cryotherapy.  We are the only studio

Is it Safe?
YES.  Our needles are ALWAYS new and sterile for each client and
disposed of properly after each client.  Gloves are used for each
client and changed often during the procedures are needed.  Our
studio is clean and neat and we are knowledgeable of environmental
safety requirements.

Are there Problems with Allergic Reactions?
Although there have been documented allergic reaction to
Permanent Cosmetic Procedures, they are extremely rare.  All of our
pigments have been approved by the Arkansas Department of
Health.  Skin testing is also done before any procedures are
administered.  Regardless, it should be understood that an allergic
reaction could occur at any point in time.

Who is Permanent Cosmetics for?
Chemotherapy recipients with full or partial hair loss.
Physically active people who want to look their best through
out activities such as swimming, hiking, tennis, or aerobics, and
don't want to worry about "sweating off" or reapplying cosmetics.
Allergy or Sensitive Skin sufferers who often can't wear other
cosmetics.
Men who want feature  enhancement that looks natural and not
"made-UP."
Alopecia sufferers who have lost some or all of their facial hair
including eyebrows or eyelashes.
Post Surgical/Injury - for those seeking reconstruction of areoles
after surgery, camouflage of scars from burns, surgery, accidents or
injuries, redefinition of facial features.
Vitiligo sufferers who may have areas of skin which have lost their
pigment.
Motor Impaired - including Arthritis, Parkinson's disease, Multiple
Sclerosis, Stroke Survivors and those with unsteady hands who
can't apply their own make-up.
Vision Impaired - people who have difficulty applying their cosmetics.

How Long does each Procedure take?
The initial procedure will generally take approximately 11/2 hour to
21/2 hours.  Follow up procedures usually do not require as much
time as the initial procedure.
